6 Days Serengeti Safari and Gorilla Trekking
6 day gorilla trekking and Serengeti safari is an excellent choice for those who are interested in seeing 6 of Africa’s most famous creatures (Mountain gorillas, lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffaloes). By the end of this safari, you will have had a truly remarkable vacation. Only a few people can see both the mountain gorillas and visit the amazing Serengeti national park in their lifetime. You will have a different story to tell you friends who only think about visiting Paris, Milan or the Northern lights in Scandinavia.
The safari starts from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and ends in the Volcanoes National Park of Rwanda. The safari in Tanzania takes you to discover the amazing Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. The name Serengeti was got from a Masai word “Siringitu” which means endless plains. This was in reference to the vast Savannah grasslands which are home to both predators and herbivores animals. Known as the “Eden of Africa”, the Ngorongoro Crater is an area with great biodiversity and has been declared the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Along with the Serengeti, they are two of the top attractions in Tanzania. There are a lot of things to do in the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. You will take part in game drives, camping and watching the great wildebeest migration if you come at the right time of the year. Check out an article about the hot air balloon ride in Serengeti.
While in Rwanda, you will also take part in golden monkey trekking but the experience with the mountain gorillas could well be the highlight of the entire safari. Gorillas resemble and behave like we humans. Although chimpanzees are more intelligent and our closest relatives, gorilla are much more organized. As you look into the eyes of a mountain gorilla and watch the family interact, you will be reminded of what goes on in human households. If the 6 days tour is too long, you might want to check out our 2 days Ngorongoro safari or the 3 days safari in the Serengeti. We also have the 3 days tour focusing on only Serengeti. Then there is the 3 Days gorilla tour in Rwanda. For those interested in a longer safari, why not check out our 15 days Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda safari. Considering that many tourists combine a safari in the Serengeti with visiting the beaches of Tanzania, you might want to read an article about what to do in Zanzibar. We also have comprehensive articles about the tourist attractions in Arusha and the things to do in Moshi.
