A little information about the National Parks. Murchison Falls National Park is the largest wildlife conservation area in Uganda. It is the only park that offers a real chance of seeing all the big five mammals in Uganda. Semuliki National Park is one of the top birding spots in Uganda. The other attractions are the amazing hot springs and a chance to explore the vast forest in the park during a nature walk. The forests in Semuliki are unique in Uganda because it is an extension of the vast forests of west Africa. It is therefore possible to spot creatures that are only found in Congo and other countries of West/Central Africa. Kibale National Park is one of the best places for tracking small primates in the world. Over 12 species can be sighted including the common chimpanzee.

15 Days best of UgandaQueen Elizabeth on the other hand is arguably the most visited national park in Uganda. What makes it unique is the landscape and beautiful scenery. The beautiful scenery is a result of ancient earth movements which created crater lakes, gorges, valleys and other creations. The park remains relatively green throughout the year. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to about half of the overall population of Mountain gorillas. Bwindi is a UNESCO World heritage site because of its remarkable biodiversity. Lake Mburo is Uganda’s smallest savanna National Park. The park is an excellent antelope and zebra habitat. It is also arguably the best place to spot leopards.
