This 3 Days Serengeti Safari takes you to explore one of Africa’s vast savannah plains to witness the Great Migration and also sight the Big 5. The Serengeti National Park is a stunning wildlife safari destination and is situated in the Northern circuit. Serengeti National Park is a UNESCO Site and covers an area measuring over 14,763 sq. km. This Park is composed of 3 main sectors (Western, Northern and Central). The Central sector also known as Seronera features extensive savanna plains and has the highest concentration of wildlife throughout the year. The Western Corridor is mainly comprised of the Grumeti River and also features dense forests. Serengeti also has the Northern sector, which is made up of the Lobo and Mara. Day 1: Hotel pick up in Arusha and Transfer to Serengeti for an Afternoon Game drive

After you have enjoyed a hefty breakfast, you will meet the Driver/Guide from Tanzania to take you through the itinerary. Leave Arusha town in a 4×4 safari vehicle and begin the Drive to Serengeti taking about 6 hours’ drive. You will reach Serengeti through one of the main gates including Naabi Hill gate, Klein’s gate, Ndabaka gate or Bologonya gate. The park entrance gate will be determined by the location 3 days safari in Serengeti with flightof your safari lodge. Most of the Serengeti National Park’s lodges are distributed across the Seronera/Central sector and this region can be reached via the Naabi Hill gate.

You will arrive at the park early in the afternoon and enjoy lunch. Later, you will be taken for an afternoon game drive with an experienced guide. During the afternoon game drive through the Serengeti plains, expect to spot abundant wildlife including elands, gazelles, lions, impalas, rhinos, buffalos and elephants. Once you return from the guided game viewing tour, shower and spend the late evening resting at the lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

3 days flying safari in SerengetiBegin your day with breakfast and wait for the Safari Guide to brief you on today’s program. Expect to set off early in the morning from the lodge for a full-day game drive. Spending the entire time in Serengeti plains presents you with an amazing opportunity to explore the diversity of wildlife including the cheetahs, Grant’s gazelles, African Jackals, impalas, leopards, Kongoni and buffaloes. Apart from the animals around mentioned, look out for hyenas, wildebeests, lions, elephants, aardwolf and birds like the ostrich. Lunch will be prepared in the middle of the savannah. After enjoying the full day of game drives, you will return to spend the rest of the evening in your respective lodge.

Day 3: Game drive and Return to Arusha

Depart from the safari lodge/camp to enjoy a sunrise game drive through the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti plains are vast and you will always have a section not explored in the last two days. Expect to spot more wildlife as they start their day with high energy. Don’t be surprised to see things that you had not earlier. After the game drive, bid farewell to Serengeti and continue to Arusha. At Arusha, you will have two options – get dropped off at the hotel or airport. Thus ends the rewarding 3 Days Serengeti Safari.

January is excellent to viewing the calving process of wildebeest while the migration itself is popular during August, September and October.
