Lake Nakuru is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also listed among the Important Bird Areas in the world with about 400 species. Lake Nakuru National Park sits along the Rift Valley, covering an area of only 188 sq km. While at Lake Nakuru National Park, expect to observe large populations of pink flamingoes, white rhinos, zebras, leopards, waterbucks, Rothschild giraffes and hippos.
From Lake Nakuru National Park, you will cross to Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Masai Mara is located in the Narok County and is most popular for the Great Migration and complete Big 5 game viewing experiences. The vast plains of Masai Mara cover and area of 1510 sq km and is Kenya’s premier wildlife destination. The Great Migration of wildebeest occurs between July and September. After you have concluded with the Masai Mara Reserve, you will be transferred back to Nairobi for departure. Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi City to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive.
After your breakfast, you will be picked up by our safari guide in Kenya to take you through the travel plan. The short briefing will provide insight about the 4 Days Nakuru and Masai Mara safari. After getting to know what lies ahead of you, you will officially set off to Lake Nakuru National Park, which is accessible in just 3
hours’ drive.
As you connect to the stunning Lake Nakuru, expect to enjoy spectacular views of the rift valley escarpments. You should arrive early so that you check in at the safari lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will be embarking on the first safari activity in Lake Nakuru. Exploring Lake Nakuru on the afternoon game drive presents you with a chance to see a variety of wildlife and birds. You can expect to see zebras, Rothschild giraffes, rhinos and pink flamingos among many other creatures. After the game drive, you will return to relax at the lodge as you discuss the days sightings with other Travelers.

Day 2: Morning Game drive in Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Maasai Mara Reserve in Narok County.
Wake up early, have breakfast and wait for the Driver to start the journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Before proceeding to Masai Mara, you will have a final game drive in Lake Nakuru. This game drive is arranged as you drive towards the Masai Mara. Lunch will be arranged along the way to the Masa Mara. Once you reach the Masai Mara Reserve, you will check in your rooms, rest for short while and prepare for a late afternoon game drive.

Day 3: A Full-day game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve.
You will meet the Guide after breakfast and set off for a long day of game drives through the landscapes of the Masai Mara. Since it will be a long day out in the wilderness, expect to explore abundant wildlife.
The the focus will be the wildebeests and Big 5 (rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and lions). You will also encounter lots of topis, warthogs, hyenas, bushbucks, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, waterbucks and birds of different kinds.
Lunch will be in the wilderness. That means you should travel with a pack of lunch to enjoy in the open savannah before proceeding with the afternoon game drive. If eating out is not your thing, you can request to have lunch back at the lodge, rest a bit and then return for the afternoon game drive. After completing the second game drive, you will be taken back to the lodge for relaxation. The evening should be spent having dinner, sharing stories and memories of the day.

Day 4: Final Game Drive – Return to Nairobi City.
After breakfast, you should be ready to check out of the lodge in the Maasai Mara and depart for Nairobi. But before you set off for Nairobi, you will have a final morning game drive at the Maasai Mara National
Reserve. This sunrise game drive lets provides an opportunity to spot early risers and predators coming back from a night of hunting. It is also an opportunity to visit areas of the park not covered in the last two days.
After the morning game drive, you will continue the journey to Nairobi City via Narok county in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Lunch will be offered in Narok Town where you can also get a chance to buy souvenirs. The driver will drop you off at the airport or hotel and this brings to an end this 4 days Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari in Kenya.
Note: The final morning game drive can be substituted with a visit to the Masai Village for a cultural experience or a Hot Balloon Safari.
