Day 1: Flight from Nairobi to Masai Mara Airstrip – Afternoon Game Drive
The Masai Mara National Reserve is situated in southwestern Kenya and this is the day you will take a flight from Nairobi city. A driver will pick you up from the airstrip at the reserve and take you to the lodge. On arrival at the lodge, you will check-in and enjoy lunch.
Later in the afternoon, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to search for some of the amazing wildlife within the Mara Reserve. Your safari guide will be eager to show you a variety of wildlife including the Big 5 and antelopes of different species. The game drives will fill you with many memories and so it is important to take every experience in.

Day 2: Enjoy a full-day wildlife viewing experience in the Masai Mara
It is another special day to immerse yourself in the magnificent wilderness of the Masai Mara National Reserve. A full-day wildlife tour of the Masai Mara offers you astonishing views of wild animals in the
morning (for early morning risers) and late afternoon (for nocturnal species as they also start their day). The animals to expect during the game drives include buffaloes, bush elephants, cheetahs, elands, hyenas, impalas, jackals, leopards, lions, rhinos, Thomson’s gazelles, topis, wildebeests and zebras.
Apart from big game and small mammals, the full-day game drive will also offer you opportunities to see various species of birds like African paradise flycatchers, Kori bustards, ostriches, saddle-billed storks, southern ground hornbill and woodland kingfishers. A lunch break will be arranged in the wilderness before continuing to explore the park in the evening.

Day 3: Early morning game drive and Flight back to Nairobi for departure
This will be the last and final day to explore the magnificent wilderness of the Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, pack all your bags into your tourist vehicle. You will have a final game drive before being taken to the airstrip to catch a flight back to Nairobi. This game drive will be arranged in areas of the park not visited in the previous days. Once you get to Nairobi, you will be dropped off at the hotel or airport.

What to pack for the Tour
Always consider packing light for your safari in the Masai Mara. The packing list should comprise of a first aid kit, a pair of binoculars, bottled drinking water, comfortable socks, extra camera batteries, insect repellents, memory cards, neutral-colored clothes, snacks, a camera, strong footwear, sun protection, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Getting There
The Masai Mara National Reserve can be accessed by road starting from Nairobi City. The journey takes at most 5 hours. Visitors can also take domestic flights to one of the many airstrips located in the Masai
Mara Reserve. The list of the active airstrips that serve the Maasai Mara includes Angama Airstrip, Keekorok Airstrip, Kichwa Tembo Airstrip, Musiara Airstrip, Ngerende Airstrip and Serena Airstrip
Active entry gates to Masai Mara include Musiara Airstrip, Oloolaimutia, Oloololo Airstrip, Sand River gate, Sekenani and Talek Airstrip. You can access the reserve through the gate that is closest to your lodge or camp with ease. Our Guides/Drivers are well-versed and know which entry gate to use depending on the location of the lodge.
What else to do
While visiting the Masai Mara National Reserve, expect to get involved in other activities besides normal game drives. Other safari activities include hot air balloon tours, Maasai village visits and bush walks among others. An addition of more safari experiences may require you to book more days.
