Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from a hotel in Kigali – City tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Ibyiwacu Cultural Village
After breakfast, you will have a city tour in Kigali led by an experienced Guide. While in Kigali, you will focus on exploring the historical and cultural sites. Expect to visit the Kigali memorial centre, craft centers, art galleries, museums and Kimiroko market. After a rewarding city tour, you will have lunch and exit the city for Volcanoes National Park.
After checking in at the lodge, the Driver will take you to visit the nearby Gorilla Guardians Village. Also known as the Ibyiwacu Cultural village, this center was established by former poachers. They left harming wild animals in the park and now organize traditional dance performances at the site. Apart from cultural performances, you will learn a lot about the different tribal groups in Rwanda.

Day 2: Golden monkey Tracking – Visit the Ellen DeGeneres Center and Transfer to Bwindi National Park
You will Leave for the volcanoes National Park after breakfast. On reaching the park offices, the Rangers will welcome you and go through the rules and regulations for golden monkey tracking. At around 8:00am, you will go to look out for the golden monkeys in the company of armed Rangers. Golden Monkeys are cute but endangered. They are only found in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. They spend their day eating bamboo shoots, grooming and playing. Their only major fear are eagles. After observing their behavior for one hour, you will return back to the starting point and meet the Driver/Guide. After lunch you will be taken to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Center of the Dian Fossey Foundation before beginning the transfer to Bwindi National Park in Uganda.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking –Visit Batwa Pygmies
Report to the Buhoma sector to attend a briefing where you will learn about the rules and regulations and safety measures for gorilla trekking. Leave Buhoma region at 8:00 am to begin the actual trek to explore gorillas, and the entire adventure will run for 2-6 hours. Half-day gorilla adventure covers one hour for taking pictures and observing the daily behaviors of mountain gorillas.
After the gorilla trekking adventure, a certificate will be awarded to all guests before they proceed to their lodges. From your respective lodges, you will be picked up for the Batwa pygmy community tour.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxing and Canoeing.
Wake up at your own convenient time and prepare for the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. You will have lunch at the hotel in Lake Bunyonyi. After lunch, you will be taken for an afternoon canoe ride along the Lake Bunyonyi. Expect to visit some of the beautiful islands, including the Punishment Island. Return and spend the day enjoying one of the most naturally beautiful sites in Uganda. You can choose to go swimming, birdwatching or visit the nearby Batwa community

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park –Tree Climbing lions Ishasha
After spending time at Lake Bunyonyi, it’s time to begin the Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will enter the park via Ishasha to see the tree climbing lions in the area. Apart from the lions, you will see other wildlife species and the amazing landscape in the area. Queen Elizabeth stands out because of the beautiful landscape consisting of savannah grasslands, woodlands and forest. Primates, big game and birds all call the park home.

Day 6: Lion/Leopard Tracking experiential – Boat cruise and Transfer to Kibale forest
Lion/Leopard tracking will offer you an amazing opportunity to observe two of Africa’s famous big cats in the wild. This experience is perfect for Researchers or Travelers interested in observing the two cats more closely. It is like a game drive because you get to see most of the park animals as you look out for the lions and leopards. After tracking the two primates, you will have delicious lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. The Kazinga Channel connects lake Edward to George and is where most of the park animals congregate to drink and hunt. While on the boat cruise along this biologically rich channel, expect to see aquatic animals like hippos, crocodile and birds. Lions, antelopes and other animals can be seen along the shores. After the boat cruise, you will proceed to Kibale National Park via the amazing Crater Lake region. There will be a stop at the Kikorongo Equator landmark for photography.

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking – Visit the Bigodi swamp
Chimpanzee trekking starts at the Kanyanchu tourism centre located in the heart of Kibale National Park. The activity starts with a welcome ceremony and briefing from the Guides/Rangers. You will be assigned to one of the 5 habituated chimp communities. An experienced Park Rangers will lead you on the entire 2 to 4 hour search for chimpanzees in Kibale Forest. Observing chimpanzees can turn out to be more interesting than even the gorillas. Why? Because of the drama, chaos and politics in chimp communities. Chimps love spending time both on top trees and on ground. After the mandatory one hour of observing the chimpanzees, you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will be taken to explore the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to an amazing collection of birds and 11 species of primates.

Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe Airport via the Equator – fly to Nairobi for overnight
Wake up at an agreed time with the Driver and prepare for 5-hour journey to Entebbe International Airport. The drive involves passing through Kampala city and other points of interest. If you reach Entebbe before check-in time at the airport, the Driver may drive around Entebbe town for a chance to get close to Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria is the largest fresh-water lake in the world. You will take a flight to Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Kenya in the evening.

Day 9: Transfer to Nakuru – Game drive
Wake up early and wait for our Kenyan Guide/Driver to begin the journey to Nakuru National Park. This involves driving to the rift valley area of central Kenya. You will check-in at the lodge, have lunch and prepare for the afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for hosting one the largest collection of flamingoes on earth. These majestic birds find the salty and algae rich lake perfect for feeding and breeding. Apart from flamingoes, the park is excellent for observing Africa’s famous wildlife and other species of birds.

Day 10: Morning Game Drive in Nakuru – Transfer to Masai Mara – Afternoon Game drive
After a final morning game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park, you will begin the transfer to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The road to Masai Mara rewards Tourists with amazing view of the East African rift valley region. On arrival at Masai Mara, you will check-in at the lodge, have lunch and prepare for a late afternoon game drive.

Day 11: Full day game drives in Masai Mara National Park
Wake up early and prepare for a long day of game drives in different parts of the Masai Mara National Reserve. By the end of the morning and afternoon game drives, you would have spotted Buffaloes, Cheetahs, elephants, Gazelles, Leopards, Rhinos, Wildebeests, Zebras and over 200 bird species. Picnic lunch will be arranged after the first game viewing session in the Mara plains.

Day 12: Masai Tribe – Fly to Amboseli – Afternoon Game Viewing
Enjoy your breakfast and wait to be picked up at the lodge. The Driver/Guide will take you to visit the Maasai village/community for you to have a close interaction with them. The Maasai people are known for their intricate beadworks, semi-nomadic pastoral behaviors, jumping dances and love for keeping domestic animals. After the Maasai Village tour, you will be taken to the Airstrip to take a flight to Amboseli National Park.
On arrival at Amboseli, you will have lunch and continue with a guided afternoon game drive. Amboseli is located in the region where guests enjoy the breathtaking views of the Kilimanjaro Mountains. The park is home to vast herds of elephants, lions and antelopes.

Day 13: Full day exploration in the park
Wake up early and prepare for a morning and afternoon game drive. The game drives will be arranged in different areas of the park. After the game drive, expect to return to the lodge in the evening for relaxation.
